Making Education a Reality

Project overview

  • From March to July, we will ride approx 7,700 kms from Darwin, via Cairns to Melbourne.
  • In doing so, we aim to inspire and raise funds for disadvantaged Aussie children and young people. The Ardoch Youth Foundation is our charity partner.
  • Through our website blog and school visits, we aim to provide a fun way to learn about Australia’s history, geography and culture, demonstrate the benefits of cycling and physical fitness and give these kids a personal insight into what it takes to succeed.
  • Importantly, these messages are not just for children but every Australian. Enjoy the ride!
From March to July 2010, we will ride approx 7,700 kms from Darwin to Melbourne.
Through our website blog, letter exchanges and school visits, we will share the final leg of our epic journey with the students Ardoch supports.
This engagement will provide a fun way to learn about Australia’s history, geography and culture, demonstrate the value of physical fitness and give their students a personal insight into what it takes to succeed.
Throughout the journey, we plan to contact over 500 media outlets, sharing the project with them and, importantly, the involvement of key project supporters.
